Designing for Accessibility

By making a website accessible, it will be available to the widest audience possible. A website may rely entirely on graphics to convey information, rendering the page impossible to decipher for a blind person using screen reading software. The structure may change from page to page, making navigation difficult for anyone with a visual impairment. The language used may be convoluted and difficult to read or comprehend by someone with a learning difficulty. The page may have colours that blend in together for someone who is colour blind.

Our aim is to make our websites accessible to all users including people with disabilities for whom the internet can be a very valuable communication and information tool. All our websites are designed to meet priority levels 2/3 according to the WAI (Web accessibility Initative).
