We use industry standard Macomedia dreamweaver 8 to design all our websites. Our trainer having successfully taught webdesign in Trinity College for many years can provide onsite training courses in the use of Dreamweaver 8 to either individuals or groups.
A typical course could follow the format below and would take 1 day.
Session 1 - Familiarisation with the Dreamweaver application. Defining a site in Dreamweaver. Understanding the site files panel. Using the Properties Inspector and other tools that Dreamweaver offers to update pages in an existing website. Publishing to the web server. Site maintenance. The process for designing or redesigning a website from scratch and how to insert and format different types of content. There will be a series of exercises given to participants to familiarise them with the application further.
Session 2 - At this stage participants should comprehend the basics of using Dreamweaver and how to publish simple web pages. In this session we will go through some more advanced aspects of web design. We will cover how to use a Standard Style Sheet (css) and see how the navigational elements are inserted using PHP code.
